Item Description:

For sale is my GT235 mower. I think it is a 1999. You can see by the pics it is in good condition. I also have the owner's manuals for the deck and the tractor plus chains for the tires; just forgot to put them in the photos. You will notice in one of the pics that there is a "Tachometer/Hourmeter" on the dash - I installed this not long after I got it. This is a real handy thing; not even the new ones have a TACH! In the pic you will see 181.9 -- that is the Hours on the tractor since I put the tach/hourmeter on it. So it actually has more hours because I bought it when it was about 4 years old. Recently I put the $550. transaxle rebuild kit in it. This included the 2 new filters inside the tranny plus the 2 pumps plus the center valve case. The thing runs and drives great and the tranny even sounds quieter than the new tractor I just bought. Another good thing about this tractor is that I mowed at between 2300 - 2800 RPM. Most people say one should run the tractor full throttle (about 3600rpm.) This is mostly to give the blades more speed for a better cut. But since I am not concerned with the cut I ran it slower. "So what?" you say. Well, the total revolutions on my machine here is far less than a similar one that was run wide open all the time. This and the rebuilt transaxle means this tractor is set to give someone a lot of trouble-free use before it has engine or transmission problems. I also replaced the main drive belt and it has 0 hours on it. I greased the deck & front spindles, changed the oil, and sharpened the blades also. The seat bumpers are also newer. Also included is the front blade and attaching hardware. I did not use the blade much, a couple winters. It worked really well when I did use it. The thing in the package you see is a "deck leveler guage." I bought it new and used it once to level the deck when I bought the machine. It worked great and the deck leveled nicely. If you don't want or need it, you can sell it or we can negotiate some on price if I keep the guage. I want to sell the blade with the tractor but might be tempted to separate if tractor price is right. Thanks for looking.
